Kim Chiu is excited to play the young Chinese girl in ABS-CBN's upcoming primetime series Binondo Girl.
The 20-year-old actress said playing the lead character will give her a way to show Chinese culture and traditions to Pinoy audiences.
"Kakaibang experience," said Kim about her role. "As a Chinese, maipapakita ko sa kapwa ko 'yong mga totoong ginagawa sa family, sa love, sa negosyo, makikita nila."
Aside from giving a glimpse to a typical Chinese life, this TV show will also depict a complicated love story.
On Binondo Girl, Kim will be paired with fellow young actors: Matteo Guidicelli, Xian Lim, and Jolo Revilla.
This will also be a reunion for Kim and Queen of Comedy Ai-Ai delas Alas, whom she worked with in Your Song Presents Maling Akala; and Cherry Pie Picache, who was her co-star in Tayong Dalawa.
Parang ako, nai-inspire na galingan ko pa," Kim said about the working with these two award-winning actresses again.
She's also looking forward to bonding with the other cast members of Binondo Girl. Kim added, "Siguro parang magiging pamilya kami sa taping, magtutulungan."
